An elegant antique desk in mahogany with brass furnishings and mounts.
There is some historical wear to the polish in places.
Slides and a great leather top which is distressed in places but stable and adds to the history of the piece.
The back is also panelled so it can be freestanding.
 
In the 1930s, while the world was moving toward Art Deco, many cabinetmakers continued to produce "Empire" or "Directoire" revival pieces like this and they are perfect for the office or study.
