This antique French farmhouse coffee table, c1840, is beautifully crafted in solid cherrywood and retains its original warm honey patina.
 
The rectangular plank top  is supported on sturdy square tapered legs.
It is a good width making it very practical.
 
To one end  is a drawer with its turned wooden knob, providing practical storage for living spaces.
The drawer liner has been replaced.
 
There is an old piece of wood that has been let in on one side at some point, possibly where a drawer was.
 
The cherrywood grain displays rich natural tones and the honest wear of age, giving the table great character.
